Dark Infection

The precursor illness to Nailux Transformation: where a person has been darkness touched, but not to the point of being incurable.

Causes

Exposure to darkness, before moving back into the light.

Symptoms

Physical: Purple lesions and rashes on the skin, bruises, fever.
Mental: Anxiety, irritability, rage.

Treatment

Exposure to light will reverse the effects of Dark Infection over time. The exposure must be near-constant, which often results in insomnia and exhaustion in the patient.

Prognosis

If exposure to light is constant, the Infection will reverse. However, even brief exposure to darkness will halt and undo the healing. Further exposure to darkness will culminate in a Nailux Transformation.
