Magical Seed: Purple Grape Mash No. 3
The Druids of Yester Hill have stolen the magical seed that allows the Wizard of Wines Winery to produce Purple Grape Mash No. 3.

Structure
Exposition
The Wizard of Wines grapes are grown using three magical seeds placed there by the winery's original owner. Each seed produces a different vintage of wine, Purple Grape Mash No. 3, Red Dragon Crush, and Grape du Stomp Champagne. The seed for Grape du Stomp was stolen years ago by an unknown party, the Red Dragon Crush was stolen by Baba Lysaga three months ago, and the Purple Grape Mash No. 3's seed was stolen by the Druids of Yester Hill.
Conflict
Knowing of the parties interest in taking on Yester Hill, Strahd has sends a warning to the Druids. He tells them to leave Thiala alive if possible but to kill the rest. When the characters make their way to Yester Hill they are ambushed by a group of Blights and one Druid along the road. A scout hides in the brush and attempts to sneak away from the battle. If the scout escapes then the ritual to create Wintersplinter is started early by a number of rounds equal to the rounds spent in this fight after the scout escapes.
Strahd, concerned that the party might discover and destroy the Gulthias Tree (a powerful force connecting Vampyr and Strahd to the domain of Barovia), brings a small army of zombies and vampire spawn with him. They do not interfere with the fight against the druids and hide within the woods surrounding the dark glade.
Rising Action
Upon reaching Yester Hill the party finds the Druids and their allys entrenched along the long twisted path leading up to the standing stones upon the crest of the hill and the chanting of a ritual echos down from the hilltop. Characters may make an Arcana check (DC 15) to determine they are casting a transmutation spell that takes only one minute (10 rounds) to complete. If the scout from the ambush escaped then the ritual has 8 rounds left, if the scout did not escape the ritual begins when the combat starts.
Climax
The party faces off against the druids at the top of the hill. Either stopping them before they complete the ritual or defeating them and Wintersplinter as Strahd watches from the back of his nightmare steed.
Falling Action
If the party is defeated and driven off, Strahd will send his spawn to finish off the party. If Wintersplinter remains, it continues its path to the winery, destroying it.
If the party wins against the druids they search the area, finding the seed was being used to create Wintersplinter. Strahd puts himself and his allies between the party and the Gulthias Tree. Strahd will praise the parties fight against the druids, reward them in his own way, and request they leave Yester Hill.

The party must decide after the battle at the hill whether or not to fight Strahd and his forces to destroy the Gulthias Tree. Doing so would go against the laws of the land and destroy any good will the party has built with Strahd.
