"Greed shall fall to Fidelity's grace!" -Head Chief Hjik Fewl
Structure
Tribal Chief: The title given to the chief of any tribe that makes up Ascor. While each tribe may have different requirements for how their chief is chosen, all chiefs share the same level of power in Ascor's overall affairs.
Culture
Religious Intolerance: The Ascorans are deeply religious, with many tribes enforcing mandatory worship of their respective gods. While this is little issue for Ascorans, outsiders may be shocked to see the near cult like practices be common place. However, if one is to open their mouth against these practices, they will be swiftly ejected by the Ascorans, who believe that any who do not follow heir beliefs are incorrect and a danger.
Tribal: While most Ascoran tribes share similarities, they also differ greatly from one another. Due to this vast and diverse difference in tribes, it is difficult to pin down exactly what Ascor as a whole is.
Public Agenda
Assets
Troops and Weapons: What Ascor misses in wealth, it heavily makes up in strength. Every male Ascoran is taught from a young age how to fight while the women are taught healing magic and herbal medicine. This, added with the Ascorans unique homes, makes fighting the country a serious threat.
History
The Alliance of Hrundar: After the war, Bachela and Ascor formed a shaky alliance. The two nations both respected each other, but the war left skirmishes still unsettled. This alliance lasted for nearly 150 years, before it was broken when the then head Chief of the Lizard men attempted to take over Bachela in a sudden surprise attack in 142.
The Battles of Greed and Fidelity: Ascor once again broke out in war, this time a civil. The two major powers during this time was the Tribe of Greed and Tribe of Fidelity. These tribes fought it out and a bloody war was made. Bachela backed the Tribe of Fidelity while the Tribe of Greed was backed by a small number of Chromatic Dragonborn. This war lasted for nearly a century, before it was finally ended during the raid of the Serpent
The Raid of the Serpent: On July 21st, 239, the Tribe of Greed was suddenly ambushed by the Tribe of Fidelity, a small army from Bachela, and an unnamed Metallic Dragon. This war brought upon the downfall of the Tribe of Fidelity, leaving thousands dead but allowing a new dawn to rise.
The Reptilians of Hrundar: As the Tribe of Greed was defeated, the Tribe of Fidelity took over the country. Due to their close relationship with Bachela during the war, the two countries decided to make an official and firm alliance with one another, agreeing to help one another in any conflict they find themselves in. This alliance was officially formed on July 21st, 240, exactly one year after the Raid of the Serpent. Soon after, on August 3rd, 240, the nation of Ruitis acknowledged the country as an independent nation, with Bachela's word of assurance.
The Giant Skirmishes of 243: On January 3rd, 243, a small force of Giants landed on Ascor and began to cut down trees, kill creatures, and mine minerals on the shore of the nation. The then head chief of Ascor, Liptid Ert, approached the giants and requested they abandon the expedition. A fight broke out soon after, and Liptid Ert was killed. This send shockwaves through Bachela and Ascor, culminating in a coordinated joint strike against the force on January 19th, 243. This strike nearly wiped out the force before they retreated back to Disbord. The giants later made a formal apology to the nations, citing the force as working off "incorrect orders." To this day the giants have not spoken of the incident since
The Serpent's Way: Between 365 and 425 Ascor experienced a sudden and extreme change in technology. Dubbed the "Serpent's Way" by a Bachela scholar, the nation rapidly increased their medicinal and travel assets, creating a small legion of 24 ships that were order to sail the sea and help as many as possible. Because of this, the nation received knowledge in ship building, construction, weapons, and farming, increasing their technology astronomically.
The Serpent's Spread: On December 29th, 743, Desvla official recognizes followers of the Serpent of the Sundial as a protected religion, increasing Ascor's interest in the nation. Ascor supplies Desvla with an abundance of medicine in return for further protection from the Holy Church of the Gods.
