Greater Dasani
"...and in that moment, I was struck with a sense of pride that our small world could make such a beautiful sight." -unknown
The largest land mass in Dasani, greater Dasani is a varied region, ranging from frigid ice peaks, to open plains, to thick forests.
Geography
Forests and Plains:
Greater Dasani is mostly a mix of forests and plains, especially in the east. These forests and plains are dotted with small freshwater lakes and rivers, meaning many settlements can survive completely alone in the region. The plains and forests are also beautiful, especially in the summer and fall when the plains are covered in rich, green grass and the forests are a vibrant collection of reds, browns, and oranges. Warm in the summer and cold in the winter, these areas are almost always covered in snow during the winter months, which melts by the beginning of spring.
The Dasani Tundra: In the north of Greater Dasani, past the Kojan Mountain range, is the Dasani Tundra, a freezing wasteland covered in ice and snow. This tundra is one of the most uninhabitable regions in all of Dasani, with the only true inhabitants being Frost Giants and small Orcish settlements. The temperatures in this region are almost always below 0, only reaching into the positives during summer where the temperature hits around 10 degrees on the hottest days. All masses of water in this region are frozen over, requiring breaking the 4 inch thick ice to obtain water.
Mountains: Greater Dasani is also home to a major mountain range, the Kojan Mountains. This mountain range is hostile to to most races, however dwarves, gnomes, and monstrous races thrive here. The peak of these mountains are as cold as the Dasani Tundra, however at the base there is rich soil and tunnels leading into the mountain, where ores such as copper, iron, and gold can be found. Water flows down from the mountain and into the plains, providing villages with fresh water.
Mount Hachi is another mountain in Greater Dasani, known for being currently impossible to climb. Covered in vicious monsters and poisonous plants, very few have survived the climb, and none have reached the top. More information on the mountain and its dangers can be found here.
Dwarven Hills: The Dwarven Hills encompass the southwestern half of Greater Dasani and surrounds Mount Hachi. These hills have a similar climate to the eastern side of Greater Dasani, but less forests and aboveground rivers makes settlement difficult, with many inhabitants instead living below ground in stone buildings. Dwarves, gnomes, and similar races inhabit the underground of these hills, with a small number of aboveground settlements existing for farming.

Ecosystem
Struggling to Adapt:
Due to the rapid expansion of the nations Ruitis and Kojark, the southern half of Greater Dasani has had a major ecosystem struggle. As forests were cut down, dams were built, and plains were sprinkled with settlements, many animals have lost their habitat. While the ecosystem continues to thrive in small pockets, many animals have been forced to adapt to living near towns or villages, in constant danger of hunting.
Fauna & Flora
The Common Environment:
Greater Dasani's flora and fauna has very little uniqueness: due to the majority of the continent being very tame and continuous, few special creatures exist. Exceptions include the Owlbear, which is a common sight in the forests and edges of plains. The Dasani Tundra and underground, however, are separate stories entirely. Covered in hostile and extreme creatures, the Dasani Tundra offers not only the danger of freezing or starvation, but also the possibility of being ripped to shreds by a Remorhaz or devoured by an Abominable Yeti. The underground and inside of mountains are also wrack with danger, with some witnesses swearing they've heard menacing roars coming from deep within the tunnels and caves.
