Kingdom of Ruitis
"No longer shall we pettily fight over bloodied land. War is a pointless farce. Peace above all." -James Rue, 1536
Defined and advanced, the Kingdom of Ruitis is the most powerful nation in Dasani. Heavily classed and dangerously powerful, many nations look to Ruitis for advice and correction.
Structure
Ruitis' government, in decreasing order of power, consists of the king and royal family, nobility, and finally the assorted lords of the kingdom.
The King and Royal Family: At the top of Ruitis' government is the king, with the royal family being the only others who can compete with his power. The king rules the entirety of Ruitis, with no other individual being able to challenge his decisions. He rules with full power, his word being law in the land. While the king does keep a group of advisors, normally brought from noble families, he is not required to listen to them and Ruitis has had kings completely ignore their advisors.
The royal family is the only group that hold a similar level of power with the king, however this is purely socially. The royal family is unable to pass laws, however they have been known to advise the king when requested.
The Nobility: The nobility of Ruitis, while having little written power, is another powerful force of the country. The nobility aids the king in his decisions, normally using their abundant wealth to help his rulings. The nobility also controls the lords of the land, who then directly control the peasants of Ruitis. This gives the nobility a chokehold on the daily lives of peasants and, due to their aid to the king, they are above the law in many senses. The sudden disappearance of those who anger the nobility is not unheard, not is it uncommon.
The Lords: The lords are the property rulers of Ruitis. Most lords are distant cousins or close friends of nobility, though quite a few are simply those who the nobility have given land to in exchange for personal trades. The lords have control over those who live in their land, their rules being as strong as kings but never stronger. This has led to a deep corruption and greed in some lords' domains, with some lands facing deep poverty and famine.

Culture
Deeply Prideful:
The people of Ruitis are very prideful of their nation. Due to the nation's long and powerful history, a strong nationalistic pride is in every Ruitis citizen's heart. This pride, however, is found in their country itself and not the people ruling it. This has lead to many in the nation to defend their leaders actions despite their actions.
Class System: The people of Ruitis are heavily differentiated between their status, with the top and bottom society as culturally different as the bottom and upper bottom. This has lead to strong and bigoted hate between classes, with each class seeing those below them as lesser and those above them as petty. This has made Ruitis a very tense nation when it comes to classes, with the middle class seeing the bottom class as little more than gutter garbage.

Public Agenda
Bring Peace to Dasani:
Ruitis' main public goal is to bring peace to Dasani. Due to their early warring years, Ruitis has taken a diplomatic approach to future conflict, while keeping a military strong enough to defend those actions. Ruitis is, in a sense, the leader of Dasani, many nations keep friendly relations with the kingdom and take great care that their actions do not offend the kingdom.
Assets
Military Like No Other:
Ruitis' military is the strongest and most powerful in Dasani, with their overpowering force keeping the nation at the top of the political food chain. This force consists of 1,000,000 personnel, 25,000 of which are magic casters, and nearly 200 war machines, armored carriages powered by magic with a high ranking wizard at the helm of each. This strong military decimates any opponent in its path, keeping the country widely safe from invasions from other nations.
Mandatory Service: All men in Ruitis are required to serve in the Ruitis Guard for 4 years once they reach the age of 18. This service entails one and a half years of training, and two and a half of service. This training ends in the knowledge and ability of combat.

History
The 8 Tribe War:
In the 1300s and early 1400s of the Warring Era, Dasani was still in deep chaos with many nations, tribes, and kingdoms going to war over petty squabbles. This warring reached across Dasani, including the area that would soon become Ruitis. Before Ruitis was formed, the land was contested between eight tribes. These tribes would regularly go to war with one another for the lush land of Ruitis.
Battle of the Eight Armies: In 1422, conflicts with the tribes reached a boiling point. This led to the eight armies mutually attacking each other within a week of each other, leading to an all out battle between the eight armies on September 7th, 1422. When the battle was over, the eight tribes mutually agreed to cease their war due to the impossibility of victory without dying themselves. This lead to the eight tribes discussing peace for nearly a year until they decided to fall under the singular name of Ruitis.
Rise of the Monarchy: For over a century the kingdom of Ruitis struggled to survive. While the threat of war was dulled, the threat of losing control was as strong as ever. Each tribe had been given equal power and, due to their differing cultures and morals, it was difficult for any one ruling to be given to any problem. While the people starved the top of the tribes simply challenged each other's authority in order to gain more themselves. This eventually led to the people of Ruitis to revolt against the tribe leaders in 1536, with the leader of the revolution being James Rue. the revolution was a success, and in the end James was dubbed king by the people and the tribe leaders lost their power.
Century of Change: In the next century under James Rue and his descendants the kingdom thrived. James was able to rule quickly and powerfully, unlike the tribes before who would take months if not years for the smallest decisions. Under James, the kingdom began a thriving agricultural revolution. Once the issue of food was a memory, Ruitis was able to work towards a clear legal system and advances in technology. From 1536 to 1642 the nation rapidly advanced and began to draw the attention of rival nations.
KoJar Wars: The near nation of KoJar had been watching Ruitis for quite some time, sending the occasional envoy to discuss relations. However, in 1683 Ruitis was suddenly attacked by KoJar's army, resulting in a heavy loss of life and loss of a sizeable chunk of Ruitis' western territory. Ruitis' response was swift and unwavering: once again a Rue took up his sword and charged into battle with the people. The war was brutal and bloody, with both sides suffering heavy losses, until Queen Jane Rue marched into KoJar's capital and took control of the empire in 1685.
Ruitis Creates its First Ally: Ruitis was not interested in keeping KoJar's land, Queen Jane Rue had learned that the larger the nation the harder it was to rule. Instead, Queen Jane handed power of KoJar over to Demetri Kojark, a diplomat cousin of the previous king who was adamantly against the war and had met with Queen Jane before as an envoy. Demetri and Jane worked together to rebuild KoJar, renaming the nation Kojark and changing the direction of the country from territorial acquisition to advancement of technology ad the study of magic. When all was said and done, Kojark had been transformed from a brutal colonial country into a scientifically advancing ally of Ruitis. Kojark was officially recognized as a nation and an ally of Ruitis in 1702.
Holy Church of the Gods: In 1823, Ruitis began to build churches in their country for newly ordered religion of the Holy Church of the Gods. This religion would soon take hold of the country's people, with nearly 73% of modern Ruitis following the faith.
Modern Ruitis: While Ruitis took part in the creation and evolution of many other nations in Dasani, Ruitis itself has not changed much since the Rue family took control. Since then, the nation has enjoyed immense advancements in every field and are now the most influential and powerful nation of modern Dasani.

Demography and Population
Ruitis is a diverse nation, with many different races calling the kingdom their home. However, while there is a diversity of races that diversity is not equal. Below is the percentage of different races in Ruitis
Human- 76%: Humans are the dominant race in Ruitis, due to the original eight tribes being almost all human. Humans sit at every level of Ruitis' economy, politics, and working class. Humans have stayed the dominant race of Ruitis since its inception and will most likely always be the dominant race.
Dwarf- 14%: After Kojark was originally formed many dwarves from the nation moved into Ruitis as diplomats, students, or even just nomads. While most dwarves left the nation once their work was done, a sizeable portion stayed to make a new home in Ruitis. Over the centuries they made families and homes, eventually leading to their large portion of Ruitis' population. However, most of these dwarves are not pure dwarf: 13% of Ruitis is mixed dwarf and only 1% is pure. Dwarves are the eternal middle class of Ruitis, while there is a small amount of dwarves that rise or fall most live their lives comfortably and happily in middle class.
Halfling- 6%: Halflings make up 6% of the population, with 5% being of mixed heritage. While halflings are accepted in Ruitis, few are attracted to the ordered and class based nation, which has resulted in a very small percent living in Ruitis. However, halflings are accepted and welcomed in the nation nonetheless. Halflings are a predominately lower middle upper lower class race: due to their chaotic nature they gravitate towards low paying but adventurous jobs. However, this does not mean they are unhappy, a halfling neighborhood is a joy to visit regardless of class.
Elf- 3%: The Elvish make up a measly 3% of Ruitis with only a small amount of pure elves living in the country. However, what they don't have in numbers they have in worth: nearly every elf in Ruitis lives in the upper class due to their magical prowess and high intelligence.
Other Races-1%: The rest of Ruitis' population is made up of goblins, orcs, lycanthropes, etc. While almost any race can be found in Ruitis, most of the lower percentage races can only be found in the bottom class: the slums of Ruitis are filled with lycanthropes, goblins, and orcs who left their homes to live in Ruitis. This small group is called the "Bottom 1%". The bottom 1% inhabit the slums and very bottom of the Ruitis social pyramid, doing mostly heavy lifting for higher classing employers. These races are the most at risk for Flesh's Rotand are seen disapprovingly by the higher races of Ruitis.

Foreign Relations
Kojark:
Ruitis and Kojark have a strong bond with one another due to Kojark being made with the immense help of Ruitis. Kojark and Ruitis regularly share intel and technological advancements with one another and aid eachother whenever need be.
Ascor: Ruitis was the nation that legitimized Ascor's existence, and has since done what they can to help the nation. Relations between the two are mostly good, however the two stay out of each other's way when personal issues arise.
Disbord: After the civil war between the Goliaths and Giants began, Ruitis gave support to the Goliaths for nearly a century before distancing themselves from the nation. While Ruitis bears no antagonistic threat against Disbord, they have openly and clearly given their disapproval of the war and refused to aid in a war where neither side was willing to compromise. Since Princess Selena and Prince Sabath took over, however, Ruitis has begun to once again build a relationship with the new country.
Eldia: Ruitis and Eldia maintain a distant yet respectful relationship. Due to the original settlers of Eldia being Kojarkian, Ruitis has given them any aid they request and Eldia has in turn aided Ruitis in times of drought. Due to Eldia and Desvla's aid of Disbord, Ruitis has had more interactions and the relation has become closer beause of it.
Desvla: Ruitis and Desvla both share similar ideals of peace and acceptance, however they both go about it differently: while Desvla believes in a completely free land for any to make their own rules, Ruitis believes in a powerful and defined government where any person can live free in its aid. This differing opinion makes the relation between Desvla and Ruitis one of rivalry and respect, with both nations competing to prove their philosophy is the answer. This relationship has lead to each nation advancing themselves and helping other nations thrive, leading to a better world for both countries.
Holy Church of the Gods: While Ruitis was originally a firm supporter of the Church, in recent years they have begun to distance their support due to the Church's statements against other religions. While Ruitis has distanced themselves, their relation is not bad, Ruitis bears no ill will towards the Church as long as their words stay as just words. However, Ruitis has also not directly opposed any of the Church's statements due to a large percentage of the kingdom being of the religion.

"...In our hubris we wished to take a blade to the only country that rivalled us in modernity. Our old country would rather destroy than advance beyond. I refuse to let our new country fall into the same trap. With the aid of her majesty Queen Jane Rue we shall build a new country from the ashes of old. KoJar is dead, my friends, and from its bloodied and burning ashes shall rise a new county of hope, friendship, and evolution. Let Kojark rise above where KoJar peaked and forever empower Ruitis, Dasani, and ourselves to strive for a better tomorrow from a broken yesterday. Long live Kojark!" -Demetri Kojark, A Letter to the People, 1702
