Camp Hope Primer
Welcome to Dawn of Others.
You live in a world that has fallen to ruin. Over 100 years ago, the Sonohoka Syndrome changed the world forever. Those infected with the virus have a high chance of dying. Those who survive the virus are changed forever. If they maintain their cognitive functions, they are thought of as The Others and if they lose their cognitive functions, they are thought of as Zombies. Either way, their bodies are mutated.
The absence of infrastructure forced survivors to adapt, innovate, and seek solace in the small communities they created. As the echoes of civilization's collapse resonated, new leaders emerged, offering glimmers of hope amidst the chaos. These beacons of light rallied the remnants of society, striving to reconstruct some semblance of order from the ruins left behind. Humanity began to rebuild.
You live in Camp Hope where The Doctors are seeking the cure and working to re-establish the medical care that humanity once enjoyed. The Scribes have established a library in an effort to perserve the knowledge from the Time Before. The Farmers Guild has established a farm to provide food for the camp. The Town Watch maintains the safety within the camp. The Engineers do their best to provide the camp with techonology. The Church of Hope and The Solstice Syndicate offer society meaning and purpose.
You are a newly formed group of Bounty Hunters. Not everyone wants to venture outside the safety of the camp's walls, but you are amongst those that has made this your livelihood. Completing the camp's bounties is your profession and these quite often take you outside the camp's safety.
