Rennd

Homeworld of the Alldeere, Rennd is beautiful super-terrestrial world, just over triple the size of Earth this world is renowned for it's wide swaths of savanna plains fed by rivers that are woven across it's surface. Sought out by Humanity for the sheer size of it's arable land it was to be a productive colony world. After the discovery of the local Alldeere and early skirmishes with what was first thought to be a pre-sapient species colonization was paused until such a time as the nature of the Alldeere could be ascertained

Geography

The planet Rennd is a super-terrestrial world just larger in size than Capricorn. At just under 3.25 times Earth gravity, the world is approaching the edge of normal human habitation. Even with this considered it was the physical geography of the planet that made it a high priority for colonization in the 6th Sector.  Most of Rennd's land mass is in one super continent, taking up roughly a third of the planets surface, interlaced with vast rivers and lakes making the largely flat grasslands ideal for agriculture and supporting an ever growing sector of people. Large open savanna's cover the majority of the super continent's core, as the abduction plates below slowly push the continent apart. These savannas are sheltered by a boarder of jagged mountains keeping the lands between temperate, with and ever growing sea at it's heart. With rich forests as you approach the mountains, and more alpine climates at the higher latitudes Rennd serves as a gleaming example of what life on Earth would have looked like after the end of the last great ice age, with megamamalian animals roaming the wide plains.
