Earth
The Homeworld of Humanity, a terrestrial Garden World located within the Sol System. Earth, the third planet from the sun and held within the center of Sol's habital zone. Her moon Luna, now serving as a control center for space traffic to and from the world helps to control access to the many space elevators across the planets surface.
Earth has served as the Capital of the United Earth Alliance for it's entire history, and is ruled by the Ruling Council and the High Commander. Ever a beacon of stability, the largest population center of Humanity has served as a template to the other Human Settlements across the stars. Having long since dealt with the environmental crisis of the 21st Century, Earth is no much a a kin to a paradise that Humanity had always strived to make it.
As the Capital of the United Earth Alliance, Earth is home to many organizations and holds Humanities first orbital shipyard and the largest Orbital Defense Grid in the Galaxy.
Geography
A terrestrial Garden World, with broad continents divided by her vast oceans that take up about three quarters of the planets surface. A world with varied climates ranging from tropical rain forests, to vast deserts, and restored polar regions capped with ice. Humanity has settled every continent save the Antarctic region. Of the settled continents there are the Americas (North and South), Africa, Eurasia, and Australia.
