Gnome

The Beginning

The gnomes on the mainland came with the Fairies and the Eladrin. They came in small groups on small boats, riding small winds and small waves. On an opposing coastline where the land juts out as a peninsula, the groups landed and disembarked. Those who landed called the land Fae’sinya . For most of the gnomes, they followed along with the eladrin and the fairy, forming groups of shared communities. While the eladrin fell into their roles as protectors, the gnomes became the builders and busybees, allowing the fairies to be the life and joy of the shared communities. Amongst the communities, gnomes fill a majority of the professional roles: builders, gardeners, set-up and teardown for festivals, merchants and traders, and administrative roles.

The Gnome People

Though a majority of gnomes attend to the non-combative roles, there are, of course, those that explore outside of tradition, yearning for adventure and to be protectors for their people. Some gnomes travel the roving seasonal eladrin caravans, joining in their shows and the daily things that need to be done to support them.

Genetics and Reproduction

Adult gnomes have an average fertility rate. Without attempts to prevent conception, gnomes are likely to reproduce from sexual relations. Additionally, they have a low to low-moderate chance for multiple births. An adult gnome is able to conceive a child from 17 to 80 years. Because of the early end to their ability to give birth to a child, gnomes tend to establish families early.
