Destovian Empire
The harsh mountainous empire of Destov is not a land for the faint of heart. Although much larger than its rival nation, Zellek, Destov carries far less political influence than its warm-hearted neighbour. Destov once exported vast amounts of different minerals, but the mines seemingly went dry some time ago. In fact, the only thing that has come out of Destov lately has been destruction from the 12 year war with Zellek in the Farlung mountains, which create a natural border between the two military powerhouses. However, despite the imperial military’s best efforts, Zellek forces managed to hold their lines and force the instigators into a stalemate surrender.
Long Live the Empire!
In the years preceding the dragon war, the destovian mountain range in central Delvia was a wildlands inhabited by isolated clans of dragonborn, orcs, and yuan-ti. These clans rarely saw each other, and when they did meet it was usually for hostile regions. However, as the years went by in the dragon war and clans began taking their own sides and fighting amongst each other, one warrior became fed up with watching his clan fight itself to extinction, and he executed a dream he had been dreaming since boyhood. That warrior was Rohowuanax Yahon, who would later succeed in his plan to unite the warring clans of the mountains under a single banner, forming the largest empire Delvia had ever seen. As one nation, Destov joined in the fight on the side of the metallic dragons. The empire's military brought new unforeseen tactics to the southern front, and each of their emperors following Yahon brought a new strategy to the table.Zavoyt Dynasty
Eastern War of Expansion
Western War of Expansion
After their failing to gain any ground in the east, the empire turned its sights westward to Dwinleigh, it's age-old ally, which was in the midst of an economical crisis. Destov tested the waters by quietly annexing a lake town in Dwinleigh. Imperial soldiers moved in under the guise of collaboration between the two nations, and set up an occupying force before Dwinleigh could react. As soon as the jig was up, Destov officially declared war on Dwinleigh.
