The Festival of the Voice

This week-long festival is held, when the The Voice of the Crescent Lands gives up their office, which most commonly happened due to their death. During this event, the contestants, most of which are female of which there are commonly around 10, participate in displays of their song and poetry. These displays are performed in the large square in front of The Costiera Opera House and are open to all to watch. A jury, comprised out of seemingly random individuals, grades these performances. At the end of the week the top contestant is led to the The Costiera Opera House where they complete the rituals which officially declare them The Voice of the Crescent Lands.
