On the windswept Coast
Ruled by the illustrious arch-mage Erric Thastecor, The Ocean Guard have claimed the The Windy Cape as their home. Ever since their arrival alongside The Steelforged Clans they have maintained a cordial relation with them, and have used their expertise to build and maintain many sea-side forts and other border defenses. Each of these forts is overseen by a skilled mage who uses their time to further their magic as well as train those below them in their illustrious art.Magic, more than a skill
As The Windy Cape is rather poor on resources and farmland, many of these mages have dedicated their lives to the creation and maintenance of large insolated fields where magic shields that inside from the unrelenting wind and rain; nurtures the poor soil so that it can maintain the farming required for the population. At the top of his tower
Overseeing all of these mages is the arch-magus, some belief him to be an avatar of Azuth, he rules these lands from his tower-fort in Mylaenaserine where these elves made land-fall 65 years ago. Although he has a vital role in the government of the nation, he is seldom involved in matters of state unless something very important has happened, mostly delegating these trivial matters to his inner circle of scribes: The Circle of Mages. He is seen often around The Night Grove Mage College, as he has taken the responsibility of Head-mage, which he does take very seriously.Current Problems
The Dead bring opportunity
Similar to the The United Gnomish Ridge, these elves have to deal with The Returning, yet many of these elves remain skeptical of their divine origin and many have jumped on the opportunity to research those who've overcome death. When Magic is no More
Since the occurrence of The Returning some of the mages have noted a decrease of their magical potential, initially chalked up to the fumbling of the unskilled more research has been conducted after it spread. The source of this hasn't been found, and thus far it only affects a minor fraction of the High-Elf mages. This even has been called The Scrouge.Diplomacy Diagram not available
