Firbolgs are a reclusive race of giant-kin who preferr to avoid contact with other sentient races. They are both the most intelligent and the most powerful of the giant-kin. Their tribes cloister in remote forest strongholds, preferring to spend their days in quiet harmony with the woods. When provoked, Firbolgs demonstrate formidable skills with weapons and druidic magic, but it's rare to find one with any intentions beside the best.

- Firbolg Magic: You can cast Detect Magic and Disguise Self with this trait, using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability for them. Once you cast either spell, you can't cast it again with this trait until you finish a short or long rest. When you use this version of disguise self, you can seem up to 3 feet shorter than normal, allowing you to more easily blend in with humans and elves.
- Hidden Step: As a bonus action, you can magically turn invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack, make a damage roll, or force someone to make a saving throw. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
- Powerful Build: You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
- Speech of Beast and Leaf: You have the ability to communicate in a limited manner with beasts and plants. They can understand the meaning of your words, though you have no special ability to understand them in return. You have advantage on all Charisma checks you make to influence them.
The first thing one will notice about Firbolgs is their size, being among the tallest humanoid races in Deoryüm. Firbolgs average between 8 and 10 feet tall and can weigh between 300 and 450 pounds. Firbolgs are covered in thick fur, ranging from earthy colors like brown and ruddy red, to cool grays and blues. Their faces are somewhat cow-like, having long, floppy, pointed ears and broad, pink noses.
The average Firbolg is stronger than a forest bear. Beyond sheer physical strength, they have innate magical abilities. Firbolgs are said to be resistant to magic. They can sense the presence of magical auras innately. They also have the power to change their physical appearance, including making themselves larger or smaller. They sometimes use this magical power to blend in or interact with smaller races.
All the giant-kin, and their giant ancestors, originate from the old Power of Old Vrituom, and are the reason the entire empire of Vrituom lived through Kadamitas to become Gebrocha.
