Wood elves are the peaceful, more carefree counterpart to the high elves. While high elves are always striving for perfection and nothing but, the wood elves are there to bring them down and force them to appreciate what they already have. Touched by the elements, the wood elves are seen as partial-fey to the high elves, and as such are revered for it.

- Darkvision: Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
- Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
- Fey Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
- Trance: Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is "trance.") While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. If you meditate during a long rest, you finish the rest after only 4 hours. You otherwise obey all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed.
- Elf Weapon Training: You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.
- Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Wood elves are extremely similar to high elves in build and appearance. In fact, the average height and weight is identical between the two races. However, wood elves commonly carry themselves in a less regal, more relaxed stance and often dress in freer colors, foregoing the clinical whites and drab greys. The one distinguishing factor common among many wood elves is the soft glow of something elemental among their clothing or hair, marking them as a wood elf. More often than not this manifests as a natural object such as a flower crown, twig horns, leaf crests, or bark garnishes.
Wood elves, much like high elves, dwell almost exclusively on the island of Leukos, previously Luswere. But while the high elves find comfort in the tall spires and concrete streets, wood elves find their homes among the dense wood forests, sparse frostbitten plains, and soft beaches of the island.
