Okkurim

Legends say that the Okkurim are related to the Balim, and that they are protectors of the plant and animal life of Derkomai, of seas, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, forests, plains, deserts, mountains, and other features of the landscape. The stories say that they take on many different forms, often appearing as one of the things that they are protecting. For example, an Okkurim protector of a forest may take the form of a tree, or the Okkurim protector of a flock of birds may look like a member of the flock. However, they are also to take other forms, appearing as human at times of need. They are said to be ministers of justice, and will battle and vanquish those intending harm to the entities under their protection.
The stories say that there are many Okkurim, and that they vary in their powers. The myths and legends tell of Okkurim on rare occasions even being killed by very powerful people, but invariably the legends end with whomever killed an Okkurim coming to a bad ending.
