March of Bristles

Execution

The March of Bristles begins with the Prelate of the Penitent of the Lost Light wrapping their feet in metal bristles that dig into the skin before they begin leading a slow march across Mestor. Flagellants of the Penitent join the procession whipping themselves as they walk from sunrise to sunset each day for five days. At the end of the march the Prelate unwraps their feet upon the altar within the Cathedral of the Broken and allows the blood to drip from its surface.

Participants

All followers of the Penitent of the Lost Light are invited to attend the march and the current Prelate of the Penitent leads the procession.

Observance

The March of Bristles occurs each year beginning on the 27th of Noor-Ai and finishing on the 31st of Noor-Ai.
