Queen Chelebin III of Káldôr
Queen Imelene (a.k.a. Chelebin III)
In 969 CE, whilst he was traveling the universe to gain understanding; Ajull married a woman and fathered a child on the isle of Hârn. She was named Imelene. She was raised to be as generous as she was chivalrous. Imelene loved her father and when her mother died she missed him immensely as he went off and traveled the world. Elevated to royal, Haldan II married her and she remained, wondering all her days what ever happened to her father.
When King Haldan II of Káldôr died in 651 TR, the royal succession council was faced with a difficult choice. Torastra, Haldan the Younger's son, was regarded as too young at age 16 and many expected a regency but the succession council surprised many by announcing the outright succession of Haldan's widow Imelene. Torastra was preoccupied with tournaments and wenching and supported the choice. Imelene took the name of Queen Chelebin III for her rule and oversaw a time of great prosperity for the kingdom. She inspired a "rebirth of chivalry." Bards sang of her, people adored her, and knights happily died for her. She died in Ólokand during the tournament that still bears her name.
