Kymani

Personal history
Kymani was always an adventurous lad, preferring to leave his work and responsibilities to run about in the forest, pick interesting plants and do new things. He was the only one he knew who attempted to create new spells, researching human magic at length and then writing down his own ideas for spells, and theories as to what happened to human magic during the reign of the Sicatrin Empire. At first Kymani's parents and those around him found his curiosity and playfulness endearing, but those traits soon revealed themselves to be forms of procrastination and laziness. As he grew older and approached manhood, those around him pressured Kymani to find a job, get a wife, learn a trade, settle down. But he didn't want to do any of those things. He regrets that he did not pray for guidance in those days, instead choosing to follow his own feelings, which led him to the The Unclaimed Forest.
Kymani explored the Unclaimed Forest for several weeks, just barely living off of what the land had to offer as he went further and further in, eventually finding a tribe of pixies with no leader. He was captured, and a tall fae woman, Bluejay, used her Projected to rip his soul from his body, placing it instead into a skeleton. Kymani watched with shock and interest as a human used Kymani's soul to bring the skeleton to life, and named her Futura, leaving Kymani Soulless.

History
When Kymani's soul was torn from his body by Bluejay on behalf of the pixie tribe he found himself in the midst of, he watched his soul be used in a human spell that brought Futura to life. Fascinated, Kymani began to seek Futura out as often as possible. It soon became clear that when his soul was nearby, Kymani's emotions and morals returned, too, which only encouraged him to stay around. Initially Futura begrudged him his company, but learned to enjoy it, and they bonded over the few things that they have in common.
