Alcott High
Alcott High School, referred to locally simply as Alcott High, and formerly known as Central Port Joan High School is a public high school in Cape St. Joan, Oregon, United States, located in The Block. It is the largest school in town, both by campus size and enrollment.
Operated by the city of Cape St. Joan, it has a reputation as a "catch all" school that is often operating at the limits of its budget.

(WIP)Architecture
Alcott High is a complex of multiple two storey buildings. Surrounded by a knee-high brick fence, the entire campus looks noticeably more modern than many buildings in The Block. Most buildings are constructed from brick, concrete and glass, giving the building an orange-grey colour palette that feels like a combination between the quadratic and blocky architectural style of the Block, but the materials of Merchant Town and Downtown.
The campus includes two main schooling buildings, a sports field, a gym including a pool, a small administrative building including the caretaker's housing, and various other minor facilities.
History
Construction on Alcott High began in 1981 and concluded a year later. Originally named Central Port Joan High School, it was built to relieve the now defunct Overton High School in Downtown.
Futher expansions to the campus were made in 1990 and again in 2005, the first one propted by the closure of Overton High, and the second in the process of neccessary renovations.
In 2018, it was target of one of the bombings leading up to "D-Day". In the aftermath, it was renamed to Alcott High School, after a teacher who had lost her life in the attack.
