Angels' Perch
Angels' Perch is a floating fortress suspended in midair above Los Angeles.
Built in 1999 by The Architect and Suspense, it serves as the headquarters of the Sunset Circle, the city's government-run Sanctioned Super team.
Architecture
Fort Angeles is built atop a large plattform constructed by Suspend. On its lower side are large number of small, circular power arrays that are visible as blue, glowing circles from a distance. They serve to keep the structure level and suspended in mid-air. They also generate an immense amount of heat, shrouding the entire structure in a mirage when viewed from far down.
Placed atop the plattform is a rectangular fortress-like structure with two-storey high wall an almost all sides, with some gaps left for the landing pads and an observation dome.
Inside the walls rises a steel-made keep-eque building in the style of futuristic architecture. With a quadratic base shape and a tower on each corner, the in-between displays some odd alcoves, protrusions and other architectural flourishes.
The entire roof surface is covered in solar panels.
Between building and wall, there is a courtyard filled with a stone garden, benches and various statues of supers previously part of the Sunset Circle.
The entire structure is coloured in a dark shade of red.
