Clothing Store Skirmish

The Clothing Store Skirmish took place in early March 2023 in Merchant Town. It saw superhuman Samantha Miller defend a clothing store about to be robbed by Upgrade.

The Conflict

Prelude

Samantha was sent by her mother to buy herself some clothes for the upcoming spring the day prior. Samantha travelled to Merchant Town via bus the following day.

Conditions

Upgrade was wearing power armour and wielded a tinkered Super Soaker water gun that was able to shoot anti-riot grade blasts of water. Samantha did not possess or employ any armour or weaponry, assembling a makeshift costumes from clothes in the store before fighting her opponent.

The Engagement

Samantha engaged Upgrade in hand to hand combat and quickly managed to damage Upgrade's weapon. Shoving her down a flight of stairs, Upgrade's weapon exploded, leaving her without a method of attack and causing the rogue to flee.

Outcome

Upgrade was humiliated when the news of her failed robbery reached the press. Speculation about the mysterious saviour of the store began to spring up.

Aftermath

The battle was considered a turning point for Samantha who began to properly consider taking on the role of a vigilante. Following the rumours in the press lead Lucas Cross on the trail of Samantha.
