Dae-seong Park

Professor Dae-seong Park (30 January 1977 - 5 May 2014) was a Korean professor of biology at the Seoul National University. He and his family moved to Cape St. Joan, United States, in the mid-2000s during a collaborative project between his deparment at the university and Medicure Pharmaceuticals. Failing to find employment in the U.S. afterwards, he travelled back and forth between Seoul and his new home afterwards. After losing his job in Korea, he returned to the U.S. where his health began a rapid decline. Diagonosed with cancer in 2013, he passed away the following year, leaving his wife and three children behind.
