Old Goven
Old Goven is a massive ruined settlement south of the Onóna'lango Forest, deep in the Illyrian Swamplands. It was abandoned by the Quorel'hrim Kingdom after a massive earthquake left hundreds dead and destroyed a number of important buildings.
Following the disaster, the inhabitants of Goven split into two factions, one traveling north through the Onóna'lango Forest to settle the city of Andáron on the Hylian River, while the other traveled south through the swamplands and settled the city of New Goven at the confluence of the Tal'rim and Verderun Rivers. Owing to its historical significance as a seat of power within the Quorel'hrim Kingdom, the ruins of Old Goven have become a frequent destination for treasure-seekers and explorers looking to find abandoned relics that may have been forgotten when the city was abandoned.
While the ruins of Old Goven have been home to several species since its abandonment, the most recent long-term inhabitants were the Ironpack Gnoll clan. This ended when the young black dragon Tadmushtum drove out the gnolls and claimed the sinking city as her lair.
