Born to a noble family in the city of Andarón, Reván was raised in a family of artisans and mages. The youngest of three siblings, Reván was a slow learner in his youth and constantly teased by his eldest sister Minerva, who was a magical prodigy by the age of 30. Reván took an early interest in the sewing profession, working in his aunt's clothing shop while also helping his mother with her librarian duties at the Andarón Library.
When he was of age, his parents sent him to study at Ne'tran'wha Academy, where Reván would meet his future wife Mirian. He found work as a teller and courier at the Bank of Ne'tran'wha and slowly worked his way up the ranks, eventually joining the city's Merchants' Guild. He and his wife headed south to the town of New Goven, where he established himself at the Bank of New Goven under the mentorship of Lovilas Andan'yarro.
When Reván had saved enough capital, he opened his first business in New Goven, a restaurant in Harbortown that quickly folded after only a few weeks. His next venture was a brothel in West Goven that befell a similar misfortune. Encouraged by Mirian to open a business pursuing something he actually ejoyed, Reván turned to his original hobby of sewing. He finally found success with a small tailoring business in Craftsman's Row. All the while, his loving wife Mirian used her family's vast wealth and connections to buy the couple a lovely estate in the Hilltop District where they live to this day.
