The Wasteling Bones
The Wasteling Bones are not, strictly speaking, a single organization. Formed of many smaller, independent clans, the Bones are a colloquial term for any number or combination of them, more widely used outside of The 3rd District by those not affiliated or familiar with the clans. As such, while a member of the Wasteling Bones may be easily identified as a whole, the specifics to each clan may be much harder to decipher. The one thing they all have in common to some degree is an anarchic disposition and a dislike of The 4th Embry, blaming them for the continued poor living conditions of the 3rd District. The current largest clan, however, does happen to be named the Wasteling Bones, and there are murmurs of increased attempts at organization between the disparate clans (despite their continued wars with each other).
Structure
The exact organization differs from clan to clan, but primarily each clan is led by a single Chieftain, who usually rose to the rank via ritual combat, prowess in battle, majority decision, or some other way. Clans can have any number of shamans, warriors, workers, and the like within them, but their position in the clan must generally be deciphered and is not largely known by outsiders.
Culture
While there are some undercurrents of honor and justice within the culture of the Bones, it's largely warped by their upbringing in the chaotic wastes of the 3rd District. Justice may mean to one clan that only the strong survive, while others may believe that those who are not their ally are their enemy. Might makes right, especially in the race for survival in the untamed bounds of the district, and mercy is a rare commodity. Martial prowess is highly praised, but so is the wisdom and intelligence to guide others as a proper leader. The clans are largely nomadic, rarely setting up shop for any longer than a few months for all but the largest clans, constantly moving to avoid the onset of Blackwaste or to make it too easy for rivals to attack them.
Public Agenda
The ultimate stated goal of most of the Bones is to force the 4th Embry to improve the living conditions of the 3rd District, or alternately to dissolve the 4th Embry altogether. However, due to the constant infighting between the clans, their agenda tends to border more on the attempted subjugation of many disparate clans in to one entity, which has yet to actually result in anything more than larger clans that tear themselves apart shortly after.
