The Young Dead
While they may not have the clout of some of the larger, older organizations in Doreymos, the Young Dead have experienced a meteoric rise in stature over the past few decades. Rising from a fairly unimportant street gang, the Young Dead are now a household name in much of the city, operating openly as a thieves' guild to some degree, but also as a cult of personality, enjoying almost star-like popularity in much of the city. Centered in The 9th District, a large number of Jhalspawn are employed in their service (although not exclusively), which has led to an unfortunate stereotype that Jhalspawn are frequently criminals of some kind. Regardless, while they may be a gallery of dashing rogues and phantom thieves, they're undoubtedly criminals, who should never be underestimated. There are even rumors that they've begun branching out in to the schools of magic, especially Necromancy, making many worried that they may be placing a bigger bid on power than previously expected.
Structure
At the top of the organization, the Cracksman governs the guild, often meting out jobs and judgment to those beneath him. The standing Cracksman, despite their name, rarely actually engages in any safecracking. Beneath them is any number of Heads, who are usually highly skilled thieves, who direct the actions of other members in the field. Finally, the Hands make up the bulk of the Young Dead, performing most of their break-ins, muggings, rackets, and the like.
Culture
The most important rule in the Young Dead is to not kill, except in the most dire of consequences. A recurring joke is that 'we don't want to add to our ranks,' but in reality, it's just bad business to leave a trail of corpses behind. Other than that, the members of the gang can join for any reason; increasing their personal wealth, sticking it to 'the man,' or even just for fun. Ultimately, while they do steal from almost any sucker they can manage, the Young Dead primarily target the rich and famous, leaving the poor and destitute to their own devices.
Public Agenda
Take what you can, give nothing back. Theft is the name of the game, and there's no pretending it isn't; they'll do it all, from broad daylight holdups to operations so covert that the victim never even knows they've been robbed. They even have a style all their own, frequently leaving calling cards just to make sure that everyone knows whodunnit.
