Goblinkin

Perhaps no group is less understood than the goblinkin. Often viewed as brutish, barbaric, and innately evil, with no real semblance of a culture of their own, these ideas are in truth heavily colored by the circumstances into which they have been thrust by powers beyond their control. It is unclear which race is the progenitor of the several which exist today, as stories conflict depending upon their sources. The strongest evidence of their collective heritage is that each race possesses extremely dark colored blood, essentially black. This has earned them the collective moniker of black bloods. It does seem likely every race has been bred and modified to some extent to make them more effective soldiers. Their modern forms span a wide range of physical features, but are all capable combatants in their own ways. This differentiation and minor degree of segregation has resulted in some degree of linguistic drift away from their shared Orcish, itself a descendant of the Giants’ speech.
