Silvanus

The Treefather

Silvanus sees and balances all, meting out wild water and drought, fire and ice, life and death. All is in cycle, deftly and beautifully balanced. He is the god of nature; and nature is change.
In times past,  a group of evil druids attempted a dark ritual and were subsequently cursed by Silvanus.

Tenets of Faith

Silvanus' portfolio includes agriculture, weather, hunting, forests/mountains/rivers, and beasts. He blesses the balance of nature and the cycle of life. It is the duty of the devout to see this cycle and work against those that would disturb it. They tend to watch, anticipate, and quietly manipulate. They defend the forests and plant new flora wherever possible. Diseases and rot that destroy nature should be eradicated.
His worshipers are druids and rangers who protect the wild against civilization. They sometimes operate temples as a sort of food bank; those in need are welcome to take of the good of the land, but a donation of something they can spare is expected to keep the balance.
