Anlal Valley
The Anlal Valley1 is located in the northernmost Vúrakesen Mountains, not far from the coast of Klalaþan Sea, which was once inhabited by Alalaríans and, later on, one of the most isolated community of Útels in Dragonía. While the culture of the former group had gradually been supplanted or merged with Útel customs and religion elsewhere around 7000 years ago (6000 b.Dr), the people of the valley held fast to many of the old ways for millennia.
Few outsiders knew of or cared much about the valley until a little over 3000 years ago, when the scholar Væalar the Wise visited it on his journey throughout Ela'k Forest to record local tales and legends by different Útel communities. He spent some time in the village of Þeikar and took notes on what he saw there, including how the villagers venerated their ancestors and nature spirits equally and use of archaic words and gestures not found elsewhere among the Útels.
These notes later became the basis for one of Væalar's most famous works, Óen Laþ, which for a time brought many more visitors to Þeikar to study (and often deride) the ways of those Neo-Alalaríans, as Væalar called them. The people gradually moved out to the town of Kelúra or other Útel settlements in Ela'k Forest, until Anlal Valley was finally abandoned.

Geography
The closest settlement to the valley is the town of Kelúra to the east, a whole day's journey away on a good day over a relatively rough terrain, as the path there has long since vanished due to centuries of rains, mudslides and overgrowth.
The valley itself is narrow, but the land by the Þæl Creek was generally fertile enough to support some of the traditional Útel crops and livestock, just enough to support a small community in combination with hunting, fishing and foraging.
