Aralrar

Aralrar is a Mörkel kingdom on the central Plain of Kings in eastern Dragonía, southeast of Fekai Lake. It's bordered by Kóvúrt to the west, Tlókon to the north and northeast and Þrihakía to the south, specifically the Þrihak territories of Yrgan to the southeast and Nystekal to the south.
Its capital is Ónesrak by the shore of Fekai Lake to the northwest.

History

The area around Ónesrak was settled by Mörkels around the middle of the first century a.Dr, who founded the chiefdom of Aralrar. According to the Erkóad, an epic poem describing the heroic deeds of Erkóet of Eila'togía, the local Tysíans gave Erkóet the task of slaying a monstrous eel in the lake that ate anyone who tried swimming or fishing there. The beast's scales were impervious to the weapons of mortals, so the hero let it devour him and killed it from within, and after bringing the eel's carcass on land, the high priestess of Datena used a ritual dagger to remove its skin. The eel's scales were fashioned into armour and shield for Erkóat, while the flesh of the beast was enough to feed the whole tribe during a celebration afterwards.
Between the fifth and sixth century a.Dr, Aralrar became a major power along the southern and eastern shores of Fekai Lake, during which it was known as Tartyslía, and became infamous for its ruthless warriors and harsh treatment of vassal tribes. Near constant revolts by its subjects stretched the Tysían's army thin, leading to a civil war and eventual fall of Tartyslía, leaving behind the modern kingdom of Aralrar, which is currently the smallest one on the plains.
