Altan Elis

Amidst the residents of the Temple, Altan Elis sticks out. For one, he is perhaps the tallest of almost all of them and lacks a set of wings or any feathers of his own. Altan is the only non-feathered priest of Elis in the Temple. As an elven man, he has lived quite a long time and has spent over 3 centuries of his lifetime in the service of the Godddess of the Sun. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the rites to the very few non-avians who make it to the Temple. It is very safe to say that his responsibilities have been dwindling ever since he became a Priest.

Altan was originally born in Eredet, but chose to leave the city life behind. It was by chance and the temptation of Elian food that brought Altan to the doorstep of Sun’s First Grace. Determined to prove himself to the Elian people, he ended up gaining approval to earn his braids, which brought him to the Temple of Elis. There, he met Nina and the two were practically inseparable immediately. The aarakocra understands his love of food and drink and the intricacies of flavor. They were also both long-lived and developed a kinship of being the “other” in Elian society. He and Nina often enjoy flying down to Sun’s First Grace to enjoy food and drink while hearing recent stories from the locals and the hunters.
