Khastoro
The second largest nation in North Vehasi is Khastoro, with the capital city of Morvel. While ruled by elves, with the vast majority of the upper class, nobles, and higher-ranking millitary officers being elves (if not solely due to the fact that they live long enough to attain those positions and keep them), and much of the rest of the population consisting of gnomes, firbolgs, humans, halflings, as well as descendants of orc refugees from the Vorogan War, and various other races. Firbolgs primarily inhabit the forests of Khastoro, living in small nomadic communities with only a few venturing into more populated areas, while gnomes are a lot more common in and around the larger cities or smaller towns scattered about Khastoro. Humans and halflings are also not a rare sight within the nation's borders, and many orcs live in the northern, non-forested areas of Khastoro, territory that was acquired shortly before the Vorogan War in exchange for as many supplies as the Khastorans could give.
Khastoro is a monarchy in which all of the main cities are led by a noble family, and each of the noble families operate underneath the king and queen, the high elves Ralomar and Vallana Varnthoria - the Varnthoria lineage is one of the few reliably fertile bloodlines of elves, giving the family a sort of claim to their power.
The primary language spoken in Khastoro is Khastorin, which has heavy influences from both Sylvan and the gnomish tongue of the original inhabitants of the area.
Flag
The flag of Khastoro is made of four sections, alternating in colour from yellow and green, each taking a quarter of the space on the flag. In the center of the flag is a circle that inverts these colours. The green on the flag represents prosperity, as well as connection to nature. The yellow represents the origins of Khastoro, having come from a religious group originially, thus the yellow represents celestial worship. The circle in the middle represents the circle of life and the changing of the seasons.
