Avgannah

Avgannah is the wild country. It is the most mystical and altered continent in the world. First is the great landmass, which named after the continent. After the trials of ancient Proto-Proteans, the animals in the country mutated and started to kill every human, protean and half blood on sight. Only a handful of survivors adapted to it and became the unique local ethnicity called(by outsiders) Insanites. They later find the city of Yahnst located in the landmass.   After a while the survivors manage to find ways to live peacefully with creatures of the area.   The archipelago of Haaqia is considered a part of Avgannah continent, because of the monsters tendency to remain peaciful to Haaq'ns.   Avgannah continent is where Insalchemy and Ritualistic alchemy was born. Insalchemy was developed by Insalites who observed Proto-Proteans in the area. Ritualistic alchemy was developed by Haaq'ns who connected to ''Beyond Ethernal lands'' through some carvings they encountered in the area.   As Proto-proteans made their trials it caused irreversible damages and alterations to the area; Reverse waterfalls rising to air, burning winds, gravity acting strangely, strange ilnesses where people start to caugh sand, desserts in the middle of forests, volcanoes errupting in reverse... Also Xalchemy was experimented, causing time moving in different speeds in different locations.   Before and After the trials, this continent was among the most thinly populated continent in the world.   After the trials the entire Nomad and Proto-protean population left the continent to Half-bloods, Haaq'ns and Insalites.

Geography

Before The Alchemical Trials
North of Avgannah is called Haaqana, it is a tropical archipelago, consisting of small to medium size islands, volcanoes(both surfaced and undersea) and seamounts. The land masses gets larger as one travels south.   The landmass of Avgannah was originally a giant desert(Called Avg Desert) in the center surrounded by forests. Avg desert being very dry, also had endless floodplains, quicksands, oasis' and rarelly, marshes. The forests around the desert was fed by streams and creeks. North of Avgannah plains has a mountain range called, Great Gates. It is one of the most fertile soil in the world, being fed by Haaqana's volcanic fumes from north and alluvions of Avg desert from the south. It is so fertile, that the seeds didn't had to be burried.  
After the Alchemical Trials
Whence the local Proto-Protean trials reached to a point, a containment building called Armice, erupted. They worked for years to stop it releasing a mutative and altering energy.
After the trials, some of the islands in Haaqana started to exhibit strange weather conditions; Like there are some islands which is covered in snow or ice, with cold waters surrounding and creatures specifically evolved or mutated to the places. Or desert islands, housing pre-trials Avg Dessert creatures.   However the Avgannah changed drastically. The Great Gates wasn't effected much, yet the Avg Desert stopped acting like a desert. Some creeks became rivers and valleys. Rainforests, forests and jungles started to grow on tenuous places. Some rivers started to flow against gravity... After that, Avg desert was started to called, desert of endless biomes by academics, but general population kept calling it Avg Desert.

Ecosystem

Haaqana's ecosystem houses sharks, whales, millions of kinds of fishes and sea creatures. There were different kinds of animals in every other island. Apes, Lemurs, jaguars, avians, mammals etc...   The most famous animal of the whole continent is a bird type named Freewing. It was a special kind of bird, somewhere between eagle and a vulture. It was famous for hunting sharks, bears and sometimes people.   Before the trials, Avgannah landmass ecosystem was extremely wide. Avg Desert had hundreds types of lizards, mammals and birds. Rock armadillos (Their shells were some of the hardest material in the world) and ancestorsnakes(Which were a giant, gentle type of snake, able to sustain through a form of photosynthesis) were famous.   The surrounding forests had types of bears(Desert Bears Desert Bears were a relatively smaller type of bear. They lived about 200 years. They were able to travel through the whole landmass; having some of the thinest pelt in animal kingdom. Its leather was one of the best thermal insulators in the world.   The forests also had wolves, foxes, stags and rodents.   Great gate had a type of goats. Their sizes would alter dramatically. Some could be large as black bears.   After the trials the animals of Avgannah landmass was mutated. The most common mutations were in desert bears and ancestorsnakes. While animals in Haaqana simply extinct and empty islands was repopulated with creatures of Avganna landmass. It is unclear how it happened; Some believe it was by naturalists who relocated the animals, some believes it was freewings carrying them to the islands. Common belief was because of Insalites who remained in the Landmass.   Desert Bears turned into a creature called Night hunter. AncestorSnake turn into giant flytrap looking creatures called AcidRay.   The other mutations were not so obvious. They were hybrid creatures; Vynoms, Peqaasas, Jindas', Itchibaris...   Unmutated animals in the area were goats and capybaras. Goats would sometimes be hunted by other creatures but Capybara's would mostly develop friendship with every encountered creatures in the area.

Localized Phenomena

After The Trials
SkyFall: It was in southern edge of Great Gates. The river ran against gravity and mixed with the air and would turn into clouds.   LonePoint: It was a floating piece of land, not touching any other part of the land, but simply floating in an emty dried lake. It moved from place to place on the empty lake, like gliding.   Acid Jungles: Some jungles in the area showed this effect; These jungles were dense in plant life and housed Night hunters, Jindas' and Vynoms. It rained days at a time, yet once the water drops touched the plants, they'd turn into a corrosive, poisonous acidic liquid(Thousands of years later, scientists discovered that, this acidic liquid was deuterium in a reaction, bonded with dense hydrogen).  
Always
Gaysers were a common occurence in Avg Desert.   Time to time sandstorms happened, but never giant ones, mostly it would take an hour for it to subside.

Natural Resources

The natural resources in Avgannah(especially in the landmass) was abundant.   Before the trials Avgannah landmass had abundent amount of resources and unlike Afrika they were easy to access(But dangerous) in most cases:   Great gates had massive Iron, copper and valuable rock(Emerald, diamond...) mines. Also various places very suitable to build Slate and especially granite quarries. Also at some heights, it had unique plants with alchemical and medical qualities. Avgannan Goat dung would also be very valuable and common, it would harden and could be used in alchemy, construction or even in gourmet cookings.   Avg dessert had abundent amounts of dessert fire(Like Greek fire used by Jaqanha'n fire shamans to produce the firedancer runes) and alchemical rocks. The pieces of sand could be used for alchemy, construction, production...   There was Rishan Steel in random places. Granite quarries could also produce Obsidic Granite.   Jaqanha mainland had white swamps consisted of Limetar.

Tourism

Before the trials, Avgannah was one of the greatest tourist destination. There were lots of local companies, who'd make tours for outsiders or made hunting trips. High amount of naturalists, foreign government officials and alchemists also visited and sometimes built research centers to catalogue and study the animals. Especially in Xean, there still exists mountains of books and scrolls about the wild life of Haaqana. But the transformation of animals always remained a secret.   The area was especially popular by high ranking couples and friend groups(Both human and half-bloods Royalty, heads of big families, government officials...   Poaching and animal abduction was also a common occurrence, especially among foreigners. Both local and foreign governments tried to block it, yet the availibility of land and amount of animals in the region, made this crime hard to stop.   After the trials, tourism take the biggest hit and it evolved from tourism into a place to prove oneself. Some Grandmasters, people looking to gain high recognision and alchemists would visit to test themselves, hunt the creatures or to gather valuable alchemical materiels.   Sometimes, companies made great ventures to the area to gather high amounts of alchemical materials, especially obsidic granite. Yet they would never do such ventures without grandmasters, Haaqn's or people who survived the area previously. Which mostly resulted the ventures being extremely(Mostly more than its worth) expensive.
