The Draegek Trite

The Draegek Trite are a large faction of nobility who support the progress of machinery to a somewhat extreme extent.

Structure

The faction is primarily ran by a council made up of the oldest members. There were originally only three people on this council, hence the name Draegek Trite, or Triumvirate of the Dragon.   Currently the council numbers at least six people, the Council Master being a Yuan-Ti named Dynydd. The Council makes votes on where to focus funds and on projects, the Council Master's job to break ties in votes. They also manage the funds of the faction.

Culture

Members of the Draegek Trite relish the presence of machinery performing more perfectly. In their eyes, the machine is perfection, and they consistently try to make their own to support their businesses. In fact, there is a section of the faction that is known to replace body parts with machinery.

Public Agenda

The goal of the Draegek Trite is to spread the use of machines as far as possible. They also desperately wish to ally themselves with the Mechanites, who could care less about them. However, the average Mechan knows them for their architectural stunts, which usually look incredibly ugly.

Assets

A ton of money. Lots and lots of gold and platinum. There is a reason they are considered the upper class. While typically nobility have only titles and fancy buildings to their name, the Draegek Trite are very wealthy and live lavish lives. They have to fund their ugly buildings somehow.

History

The Draegek Trite came about roughly three years after the city's founding, when the nobles who were fascinated by the machines of the city decided to band together into one faction. Combining their funds, they managed to acquire large amounts of land in Eastern Industria, which is now called the Noble's Slice. Drexel, the faction's founder and Master Counciler for a very long time, particularly would try to direct funding to projects that would increase the faction's reputation as benevolent to the city and assist in it's maintenance, a trait the faction inherited. When the AAA came along, however, the rivalry that soon started afterwards began to get out of hand. What was formerly donations to charitable causes and improving infrastructure turned into competitions to build bigger buildings and larger events to increase customer growth. This particularly began when Dynydd became the Master Counciler. Soon, the faction's original reputation was dashed, and what was once welcomed by the Mechanites became scorned.

Sects

The Machinae Corpus

The Machina Corpus is a split from the main Draegek Trite who do not participate in the funds or wills of the council. They are most known for their mechanical limbs, which they purchased with their wealth in order to become more "perfect". They are the primary reason for the term Machine Bodies, as well as other, less savory names.
