Aoife's adoptive mother Althaea Moontalon is on the taller side for a moon elf woman. She has pale skin that remains the same shade no matter how much time she spends outside under the sun, bright green eyes flecked with gold, and auburn-red hair - indicative of the generations of intermingling between elves of different subraces, and the occasional human, in her heritage, as it is for all members of the Order of Anzu. She is a Circle of the Moon druid, and while capable of many wild shape forms, like all Order of Anzu druids her primary wild shape is that of a gryphon. It is said to be a gift from Anzu himself to be able to wild shape into the form of a gryphon. Althaea spends much of her day meditating to commune with nature and the spirits of Anzu and Ziza, tending to her garden, helping heal sick and injured gryphons, and being involved in the general matters of day to day life in the order's village. She typically wears either hide armor or clothing in the colors of the nature of the Sword Mountains and adorned with gryphon feathers, and she carries a beautiful elven-crafted spear that serves not just as a weapon but as her ritual casting focus, as well as a scimitar. She lives in the order's village with her husband Arannis and their son, Arramel.
