Delola Lindenbrook
Delola Lindenbrook
A student and resident of Blackstaff Academy, Delola Lindenbrook may not stand out much among the other students, even with her bright, shimmering blue hair. Yet it's her hair, and her innate powers over water, wind, and the weather, that caused her to be closely watched by the Academy. For you see, Delola never studied the archane arts until she enrolled, for her peculiar talents were as natural to her as walking or breathing. Ever since becoming the ward of Genevra, a members of the faculty, Delola has spent much of her time adventuring in, under, and outside of Waterdeep as a memeber of the Rolling Stone Trading Company. So far, she's taking to the adventuring life quite well, happy at the prospect of rescuing and helping those in need.

Delola has a strong desire to explore the world, to adventure all across Faerun and beyond. She wants to experience the sights, smells, and of course the tastes this world offers. At the same time, Delola also wants to know more about herself, why she has these powers, and if possibly, there's a purpose behind it all.In one instance, Delola found herself receiving the favor of one Brenor Battlehammer, the Dwarven king of the Northern Mountains. Attending a sumptuous feast in his honor, Delola and company routed out a conspiracy to disrupt an alliance between the North Mountains and Waterdeep. Not only that, they successfully exposed one of Brenor's most trusted friends as an impostor, a doppleganger no less, whom Brenor dispatced in his own fashion.

Personal history
Among the many tales of ancient crypts, fabulous treasures, and the odd portent of cataclysmic doom you’ll hear when you talk to the locals along the Sword Coast, you may once or twice hear upon a more recent story that’s entered their communal folklore.
The blue-haired halfling.
While not a mighty warrior, terrifying wizard, or creature of unspeakable evil, the story of the blue haired halfling has more than once crossed a few lips loosed by drink and idle talk.
What none of them know, however, is that this mysterious girl has a name, Delola Lindenbrook. And her story warrants a tale to go with a fresh round.
It all begin with a traveling caravan of merchants and artisans, fresh on the trail after another lucrative stop to ply their wares and services. They were pressed to make time, due to an unexpected tempest that crashed along the Southern cliffs a few miles away from Neverwinter. As the caravan traveled along the well worn roads Southward, a halfling couple, whose wagon brought up the rear, saw the devastation left by the storm. Uprooted trees, saplings pushed flat to the ground, craters from numerous lighting strikes, and surrounding all of it was a eerie silence where not even a breeze was heard.
Cutting through this deafening quiet, was the wail of an infant.
Stopping their wagon, the kindly couple searched among the flattened trees and pockmarked hills, to find a halfling baby laying in a patch of untouched grass. Swaddling the girl and returning to the caravan, the couple was left flummoxed as to how a newborn found itself out in the middle of nowhere and why it looked unblemished despite the violent nature of the night’s storm.
They didn’t even notice the baby’s head of shimmering blue hair until a day later.
But, as it goes, the couple’s curiosity eventually gave way to care, and from that care sprouted love. Delola, named after a great-aunt, was raised among the traveling caravan, who took a liking to her instantly. Raised among traders, craftsmen, and professional hagglers, Delola learned the value of taking pride in one’s work, the value of a good deal, and value of honest coin.
Though she was the only child among the caravan, she was never sullen nor lonely. Her caretakers (which included the entire caravan) always saw her always to be bright and smiling, and off on some made up adventure or flight of fancy. The adults would laugh at how she spent the day naming the different clouds. To which she would correct them, saying the clouds already had perfectly fine names.
While she was a joy to have in the caravan, she was also a peculiar girl. During a drought, she was found soaked head to toe and laughing. During a torrential rainstorm, she would come home perfectly dry. Even one amongst the caravan swears on his ancestors to have seen Delola outside during an especially battering wind storm, one that risked dashing the fragile wagons. But there was Delola, outside, facing up toward the sky and scolding the very storm itself.
It passed without incident.
After Delola’s thirteenth birthday, her quirks began to manifest in more direct and dangerous ways. She could clap with the force of thunder, strands of electricity would lace around her fingers, she would find herself lifted several feet off the ground by a gust of wind, and running water would reorient itself to follow alongside her.
While her parents and indeed the caravan where she spent many happy years, resisted the idea of sending her away. It was Delola herself who made the decision. Realizing the need to study and perhaps master her innate abilities, she ended her nomadic life and took up her studies in the magical arts.
And so, after many tearful goodbyes from her adopted family, Delola entered the vast city of Waterdeep and enrolled under the tutelage of one Genevra Olana, a high elf cleric she would come to know as The Iron Healer.
