Harpy

Harpies in the world of E’ven-dra are slightly different from other worlds, while traditional Harpies do appear they are treated the same as running into any other NPC. The real change comes more from a cosmetic change than anything else. They are characterized mostly by their almost human like appearances with various Bird like qualities, such as bird like talons for legs and or sharp claw like hands, avian eyes, blacked noses, or even feathering to the skin tone. Some even sport feathers instead of normal hair or feather like hair of exotic colors. Regardless the largest characteristic that all Harpy share are the magnificent wings that grant them their ability to fly. Sprouting from their backs these wings come in a variant of colors and shades often pointing to an actual bird they came from.
Most harpies call the jungles of Sue their ancestral home living in isolated villages in the jungle canopy among wood elves, or in the surrounding mountainous peaks. Though some spotted communities exist through out the world, Sue is were many harpies place their ancestral homeland. A Large Harpy population has called the Wisckisel Mountains of Vail home for generations with Vail haveing probably the secodn highest population of Harpies in the world. Most harpy in Sue have characteristics reminiscent of tropical birds, like parrots, cockatoos, and toucans. While the Harpy of Vail have more subdued bird like characteristics, resembling eagle, falcons or hawk. However at the end of the day harpies come in all kinds of avian varieties. So if you are thinking of playing a one, keep a few things in mind.
Where is the game taking place and what kinds of birds would call that kind of location home? If I’m not from the area what would make sense for the place I’m from? Why did I leave my home, and did i bring anything with me, such as a scarf or coat that was made by a loved one?

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

Most Harpy can live up to a century, reaching full maturity around age 13 or 14. With their aging process seeming to slow to a rate of 1:6 (for every 6 human years is 1 harpy year) starting around 1-3 years after reaching full maturity. In most cases a Harpy is considered an adult at the point the aging has noticeably stoped, but in certain cases though, like those that call their home among other races, particularly among Humans and Halflings this doesn't take place till they reach 18.
