Giants

Basic Information

Anatomy

Giants are virtually humanoid aside from their horns and larger size. Giants' size can vary from a large human to taller than a mountain, and some giants can even change size at will.

Genetics and Reproduction

The first giants were made from small pieces of shattered troll remains, enchanted to grow into a vast creature. However, giants are most often born from sexual reproduction between males and females.

Ecology and Habitats

In [some war], the giants were driven back far, far north to a remote archipelago of islands in the Vwlltyg Sea. However, they rather liked their new home, so they stayed and satisfied themselves with occasionally plundering for northern human towns.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Giants, unlike Trolls, cannot live off of sunlight and water, so they must eat. They eat almost anything edible, and a lot of stuff that isn't really edible, too. However, they prefer raw meat.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Giants have a very relaxed social structure, for they are usually poly-amorous, and they don't really care what their kids do as long as it doesn't mess with the parents. However, they are very loyal to giants they like and generally don't wish any lasting harm upon their fellow giants.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

All giants have either fire, ice, or earth powers.

Civilization and Culture

Beauty Ideals

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and these eyes like to behold brute strength and raw power, even (if not especially) if that includes a broken nose or nasty scar.

Gender Ideals

Most humans view giant culture as very male-oriented, but that's just because all giants, whether male or female, participate in a culture oriented around brawns over brain, which among humans is for men. Therefore, female giants expose their upper torsos just as often as male giants, and certainly, a male giant can catcall her, but he'll have to deal with the consequences she gives him

Courtship Ideals

Although male giants are generally the ones to do the wooing, it is not unusual for a giantess to make the first move. Courtship most often entails a series of competitions where both giants attempt to prove their strength. And if you think that either one would go easy on the other, you'd be dead wrong. Giants are fiercely competitive, so no matter what race or game the two courting giants played, and no matter who won, they will get into a wrestling match that quickly evolves into... another way bodies rub together.

Relationship Ideals

In giant culture, marriage is a different sort of relationship than a sexual one. Sure, a married couple produces children, but their bond is more of a team than a romantic pair. Most giants have continuously changing sexual partners throughout their lifetime, even when they are married.
Genetic Ancestor(s)
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
All giants generally have grey skin with some sort of pattern on it: Fire giants have glowing red veins that pulse beneath their skin; ice giants have some sort of frosty pattern on their backs and outer arms and legs that sometimes include a bit of coarse white fur, and earth giants have similarly located rocky brown callouses.
