Trolls
Trolls are a dignified and ancient race. Their skin is mottled grey and smooth to the touch like river stones', their hair like hanging moss. In fact, one of the only signs that a sleeping troll is not a statue is a faint whiff of air that slowly hisses from their nostrils every few minutes. Small but strong horns grace their heads; mostly fused to the skull, but with slightly upturned edges in the back. Trolls take pleasure in simple work, long walks, and the occasional carving.
Naming Traditions

Culture
Major language groups and dialects
Most trolls can speak Common fluently, but they have a language of their own that few others know
Culture and cultural heritage
Trolls generally live solitary lives, but cultures vary according to their clan
Shared customary codes and values
All but the most disagreeable trolls will give hospitality to those who need it and do not show signs of violence, and trolls will keep their vows made in earnest until death.
Average technological level
Trolls use little technology, but their use of the wedge and hammer is comparable only to the greatest of carvers. One of the most valuable of troll-craft are Mynydori swords; made of solid rock, but nearly unbreakable. However, due to the swords' immense weight, few but trolls can carry them.
Common Etiquette rules
Trolls are usually serene, sensible, polite (though rather gruff as well), and slow to anger, but the wreath of a troll is terrible and mighty to behold.
Common Dress code
Trolls wear wools, furs, and other heavy fabric. They generally wear full-length garments which at minimum cover their torso and thighs, but all clothes are made by the trolls that wear them and vary often
Art & Architecture
Trolls will make carvings in the trees and rocks around their home as art, but they make little in the way of large structures.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Every New Moon, a troll clan will meet at their local troll Circle. They will talk of the doings if other races in their respective lands, and whether or not action must be taken. Aside from clan meetings, trolls will live solitarily or as lovers.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
Trolls are not born as other races are; a clan meeting is held in the night (as all but the most urgent meetings are), and by the combined power of all the trolls gathered, a stone carving of a troll placed in the center of the Circle will be born into a troll. The whole clan will raise this troll. With a circle of trolls in the surrounding forest warding off unwanted lookers, one by one each member of the clan will teach the young troll a lesson, which often is the certain troll's special craft. This may seem a daunting task, but Troll Clans are few in number compered to clans of other races, and the lesson is little more of a demonstration any a small try by the little one, so it is often over by the following morning. The young troll will then circulate through the community, staying with each couple or individual for a moon cycle, and by the time they have stayed with every clan-member, they will be ready to live on their own.
Coming of Age Rites
A young troll who has finished their childhood cycle through the clan will go out on their own to find a home for themselves. They do not usually go far (according to troll standards), but all trolls prefer a good amount of space, usually about a square acre or more of land, but different Clans live closer or farther apart.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Deceased trolls will be placed as a perimeter of a troll Circle. The magic of the Circle will cause rock to grow around the troll until they are fully incased and thus become another standing stone in the Circle
Common Taboos
No violence can be committed within a troll Circle; yet another magic of the standing stones. And trolls who have broken their word for lesser reasons than good are looked down upon by their clan.
Historical figures
The first six trolls formed the six troll clans found on Eainor; Anreag, Avontelu, Kidranen, Korafaid, Mynydori, and Maivogae.
Ideals
Relationship Ideals
Trolls view the nest relationships as two individuals who can happily spend eternity in simple work and companionable silence. Troll couples are seen little, but when they are seen, it is almost always holding hands and wandering their lands.
