Prossic (Proh-sick)
Prossic is a large city mostly focused on trade. It is built on the banks of the Cross which it regularly uses to send and receive trade to and from Mork and Zony.
Demographics
Prossic is arguably the biggest free-race city in Grecken. It always has a constant flow of trade between cities and therefor visitors. Because of this no races are prohibited to enter simply because of race, although does have one of the strongest guard forces which majorly diminish the risk of riots and other damaging situations.
Government
Tax: 1 pence for anything sold above 30 pence.
Guard number: 291 total.
City type: Trade.
Defences
Although having withstood several attacks in history, Prossic has few defenses besides its strong military. It has one great wall around it made of solid thick stone, about twenty feet high and 4 feet thick, which is designed only as a sort of barrier, and has a pointed top which prevents anyone from mounting the top of it.
Inside this wall there are several large buildings called siege houses, which are strong fortified buildings made as a retreat for citizens and a gathering and training place for warriors. These buildings are supplied with food and drink for several months, as well as weapons, mounts, and many other necessities.
Infrastructure
Prossic is famous for its tall and complex system of shops, inns, stores and unique mix of many culture types. Its infrastructure mainly includes multilayered shops, forges, woodcutters, tanners shops, weavers quarters, and fresh produce stores. The roads are usually fairly cluttered and not very well maintained. At opposite sides of the city are two ports on the bank of the river, which receive and send ships carrying goods to trade with nearby cities down the river.
Assets
Being a large trade-city, Prossic has an abundance of resources, ranging from everyday household appliances to large quantities of gold, silver, nutrod, and even blacksilver and moongold, the latter two of which are kept in a large vault and heavily guarded. Besides valuable items Prossic has a strong military presence which, although mostly occupied in guarding and regulating the city, have the strongest influence of any cities located on the Cross.
Guilds and Factions
Prossic has had a mixed history, jumping back and forth between loyalties. However, the majority of its loyalty has been to Cleft City and the White Army.
Architecture
The "style" of architecture in this city is very mixed due to the many races and cultures constantly passing through it. However, for the most part buildings are made of pine, lone oak or cheap bricks, with an assortment of cloths over the windows, over the doorways and occasionally even used as doors, which help to create some sense of privacy within houses as well as shelter from rain or heat.
