After the Dwarven Massacre, the dwarves were left wandering.

After the Dwarven Massacre, the dwarves of the Ice Mines of Grood were driven out of their cold halls of frozen crystal and stone. They wandered a year in the great Ice Waste, many of them died before getting to the comparatively warm and well suited Snow-top Mountains. There they built shelters and small caves in the rocky mountainsides. To this day they are still to be found in some places. Although the dwarves soon dispersed because of the many small towns and a large amount of Trolls and beasts in the mountains.
