Discovery, Exploration
The meeting of men and dwarves was one of great importance.
Men were fond of exploring their lands from the very beginning. After the meeting of the High Elves, they started to wonder if there could be more races like, and yet unlike, themselves. As their empire grew, men began to explore new lands, these included the frost-bitten lands of Grood and the Snow-top Mountains. They soon came upon Dwarves: small, stony creatures who lived in huge vaults made of stone. Soon both races began trading with one another and prospered even more than before.
This meeting brought two very important things into the culture of men and elves. The first was Tyun; the language of the Dwarves. The second was the idea of currency. Before the meeting of the Dwarves men and elves simply traded whatever goods they saw fit, but the Dwarves introduced coinage to all who traveled north, and so the usage of currency became wide-spread.
