Hayes Outpost

Hayes, KS is a scrapper town at the edge of the Uninhabitable Wastes. Once-fertile Kansas, has now become a desert from the effects of warfare and climate change. Dusty and gray, Hayes (like many border towns) is home to a large salvage yard made up of the ruins of ships and land-based vehicles--the site of a large battle during WWIII. The town itself is made up of scrap shops and machine shops, built from the very materials they have salvaged to sell. The inhabitants barter tech for food, clothing and other necessities from the nearby larger cities (like The Sink and Fort Dallworth. Prior to/during WWIII, it was held a bunker and weapons cache that made it a prime target for the war. This bunker has been destroyed and stripped/looted, though some surprises may still be found. It is also the cover city for the underground rebel base of The Starkill Army, called The Alpha Omega Compound.
