Session 2: Death of the Leachpire Report - End of Peru

General Summary

Saturday Evening March 19, 1921 - Saturday Afternoon March 26, 1921   Confrontation with Augustus Larkin at the Hotel Espana. Luis de Mendoza has a golden mirror hidden beneath his mattress. It is off-putting, but not so far proven to be dangerous. Larking is a heavy heroin user with a strange tattoo on his chest.   The party leaves to Puno via Leviticus' yacht to Mollendo and then rail to Puno.   In Puno, the party tracks down the wisewoman Nayra on one of the floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca. The wisewoman speaks no English, but still manages to convey a great deal of information regarding the Kharisiri's origins and the location of the pyramid. She also relays an interesting tale indicating that the pyramid is not a tomb, but a prison. A prison for something hungry; hungry and powerful.   The party are attacked my two kharisiri on the boat ride back to Puno, though they luckily avoid a watery doom.   The party takes a three day journey to the pyramids over the Peruvian Highlands, where they encounter a farmer and his son who were attacked by a kharisiri. After defusing the situation through Jackson Elias's translation and providing first aid to the injured boy, the farmer invites the party to his home, where they partake in a hearty meal and get an excellent night's rest.   The party then travels to the pyramid, witnessing two kharisiri spew something into a crack on the top of the pyramid, which is surrounded by bloat flies and reeks of rotten flesh. They descended a cliff to the pyramid grounds, but the only visible entrance is a pit filled with corpses. After crawling through the pit into the tunnels beneath the pyramid, they find a room full of gold and various other valuables ranging from Pre-Incan to Modern and the two unconscious kharisiri. They continue through the tunnels to find the pyramid base and the surrounding golden ward.   They then come to the broken section, but the tunnel outside is full of viscous white liquid fat. After wading in with Jackson Elias, three maggots leap out, which are swiftly dispatched. The party then replace the ward and leave after setting the fat aflame.   The next day the party witnesses a kharisiri shrivel to death and turn to dust. Augustus Larkin then appears, reveals that he is possessed by an otherworldly force which curses a nameless woman for providing such a useless vessel, then allows Booker to place a bullet in Larkin's head.    After killing Elias, the party loads up with as much treasure as they can carry (aside from booker) and make their way back to Lima to return home.
