This frigid staff is one of many arcane foci delivered to and used by the Far Priests of the Oshran Empire. A wielder of one of these foci could use its power to enhance their own powers of divination, as they believed El-Ren could exert her own influence through them. It is said that the first Shard was delivered by Legend Lore: El-Ren herself, though subsequent weapons and items were crafted by prestigious smiths of the day.
