Sumire ir'Wynarn

The eldest child of King Boranel ir'Wynarn and his second wife, Sumire was the only survivor of a boating accident that claimed the lives of her mother and three of her siblings.
As a younger daughter of the royal family, all society expected of Sumire was that she be married off to secure an alliance. But King Boranel always let his children choose their own path, and Sumire chose the sea, seeking to conquer the demons of her past. 
Joining the Brelish Navy at age 16, many expected Sumire to last a few months at best. Instead, she proved an able aide to Admiral Sloane, with an eye for tactics that matched her father's. Sumire quickly climbed the ranks, eventually captaining her own ship and leading it to many victories. When airships first started appearing, Sumire was one of the first to recognise the incredible military value of such a form of transport. She has since been promoted to the rank of Commodore in the navy, with the responsibility for the new Brelish Air Corps.
