During the War of the Mark, House Cannith stumbled upon Medani and mistakenly believed them to bear Aberrant Dragonmarks. Despite other houses' invitations to join as an official dragonmarked house, Medani initially declined, having little ambition beyond Breland's borders; however, persistent negotiations and veiled threats from the dragonmarked houses eventually led Medani to reluctantly accept membership.
