Session 3: Threading a Needle Report

General Summary

The Group began by wrapping up their discussion of how to handle Prashesh’s request. They decided to inform Malri of most of Daask’s desires, but not about exactly how much money had been involved. Dax successfully convinced Malri that the Group only agreed to take 100 galifars in exchange for killing Watch Sergeant Vilroy. The Group placed a call to Malri about meeting to discuss future plans. The Group then proceeded to Malri’s offices in Ivy Towers. Dax laid out the general plan. The Group would bug Vilory and use her as a source of insider information on the Boramar clan. They would use this to get information from Daask about that organization’s operations. Malri agreed to the idea, but warned that overt action in favor either organization could cause a war. The Group then organized a meeting with Sgt. Vilory. On the evening of Vult 7th, the Group met Sgt. Vilroy. Vilroy seemed unaware of the Group’s battle in High Walls and subsequent abduction. Cyril distracted Vilroy, and Turu planted a Khybershard bug on her. Dax then informed Vilroy that Coal had been killed by monstrous attackers. Vilory was perturbed and asked if the Group had any idea who had done it. Dax deflected and said that they did not. Dax promised that the Group would stay on the case and investigate Alliant Construction, the firm that had hired Razor in the first place. Vilroy accepted and left. Cyril and Dax investigated Alliant and tracked down the location of the company’s office and found that the bank that financed the company did not exist. Once the Group had reformed, they approached the offices of Alliant Construction and interrogated the workers there. Turu intimidated the workers into telling him that two groups of Warforged had been hired. One group was sent to the Undercity and the other was sent, under a Warforged named Harbinger, to the town of Vathirond. Vathirond sits on the borders of Breland, Thrane and the Mournland. Dax got the workers to admit that they work for house Orien, and that Hiro Pridwyth is their boss. They also revealed that Pridwyth is located in the Orien enclave at Terminus. Shim and Lot 19 investigated the waste bins of the offices and found discarded correspondence that implied that house Orien has a lightning rail expansion project with a mysterious partner. The partner had guaranteed the railway expansion, and requested that the delivery of the Warforged proceed without delay. The Group decided to make contact with Hiro Pridwyth, contact Prashesh and to track Sgt. Vilroy.
