Abbey to the Maimed

The Abbey to the Maimed is a church to Tyr near Castle Kilgrave on the Tiza Lakes southeastern shoreline. The abbey was built by a group of Tyrran pilgrims and priests who sought to develop a site of religious significance distinct from the typical shrines to justice found around cities, using the ruins of Kilgrave as a sign of the pain Tyr had endured. The structure was started in 1176 DC and finished in 1178 DC. The abbey is now known more for the settlement of Kilgrave that surrounds both it and the castle.
