Clan Coinfist

Originally called Clan Thrardivun; meaning Home of Gold, Clan Coinfist is a dwarf clan once based in the Jackalands, though now is centered in Balmastaq. Once a renowned mining and trading clan in the Jackalands; though since the clans relocation in 1352 DC, the clan was renamed to Coinfist and started to ply its trade into information. Coinfist is most notable for its inclusion of non-dwarves into its ranks after relocation, only having the requirement to be faithful to the clan and its members.

Structure

Clan Coinfist maintains a much looser structure than most dwarven clans, having largely dissolved the traditional structure. In the existing form, Coinfist has a Clanlord as the head and no other formal titles. Members are appointed to informal positions as is fitting with their given skillsets. For example: the dwarf Morrem was frequently called Spymaster due to his abilities in information gathering, in contrast to the tiefling Mine who often was called Roadman owing to their skills in cons and burglary.

Culture

In many ways, Coinfist is a definitive break from other dwarf clans in the way its culture. Non-dwarfs are allowed to permitted to join the clan and the many prejudices frequently held against other species do not exist amongst Coinfists members, though these are just some examples.
Most important to Coinfist is loyalty and honour amongst its members, though there is no expectation for any sort of dogmatic obedience and particularly non-dwarf members of the clan are encouraged to participate in the decision-making process the clan undertakes.
